San Diego, CA, May 5th, 2026 – Valley Surf Soccer Club and Manteca Area Soccer League (MASL) Rangers United have announced a strategic partnership aimed at creating a clear and structured pathway for soccer players across the Central Valley.
MASL Rangers United will continue to serve as the competitive club in Manteca, providing a local competitive platform for players and families in the community. Through this partnership with Valley Surf, players will now have more access in the player pathway, offering opportunities to higher-level training environments and competition platforms, including Pre-ECNL, ECNL Regional League, and ECNL. Additionally, by partnering with Surf Nation, MASL Rangers United players and families will now have access to a national brand with greater resources, extended support, and additional opportunities.
“Our focus is to build a clear path for players in our community. MASL Rangers United has built a strong foundation over many years.” says Jeff Jenkins, Executive Director of Valley Surf. “This partnership connects that foundation to a proven pathway without forcing families to leave the area early in their development.”
Through this alignment, players will have the opportunity to train with Valley Surf at key stages of development while remaining connected to their local community club. Player pathways for the boys program will lead to ECNL and ECNL Regional League through River Islands Surf, and player pathways for the girls program will lead to ECNL and ECNL Regional League opportunities through Stanislaus Surf.
“This partnership helps to strengthen player development in the Central Valley and provides our players access to a proven pathway to regional and national platforms.” Says Trisha Gonzales, Director of Coaching for MASL Rangers United.
José Alcala, representing Stanislaus Surf, added, “This partnership ensures that players in the Central Valley have access to the highest levels of competition. By bringing Manteca into a unified River Islands Surf and Stanislaus Surf structure within Valley Surf, we are creating clear opportunities for both boys and girls to advance without leaving the region.”
MASL Rangers United will maintain its identity and role within the community, while Valley Surf will continue to operate its competitive platform independently. The partnership is built on alignment, with a shared goal of improving the overall soccer experience in the region.
The Central Valley continues to grow as a competitive soccer market. This partnership reflects a commitment from both organizations to provide better structure, clearer opportunities, and a higher standard of development for players at all levels.
