Surf Nation is proud to announce the successful completion of its first-ever Director of Football course, delivered in partnership with MiMentor and led by Ryan Maye, Premier League Club, Head of Coaching and Development.
Over the course of four months, 30 coaches from 22 Surf Nation clubs across the country participated in this groundbreaking program designed to prepare and develop the next generation of club leaders.
The course, designed to elevate both player and club performance on and off the field, featured modules on vision and mission, developing and applying emotional intelligence, and professional development. Participants also had the opportunity to present how they would apply their learnings within their own club environments.

Ryan Maye, who has played a lead role in the success of a current English Premier League club’s academy, shared his expertise and insight with Surf Nation’s coaches throughout the course. Supported by MiMentor’s proven educational platform, the Director of Football course provided a blend of elite football education and practical applications for the U.S. soccer landscape.
