Surf Nation is comprised of like-minded coaches and administrators dedicated to our Surf mission to provide the best experiences and opportunities for their athletes. Since 2022, Pima County Surf has been a proud partner of Surf Nation, and we have thoroughly enjoyed the partnership. We have watched their amazing club grow and seen them take full advantage being a part of the Surf brand.

What is the greatest benefit to Pima County Surf being part of the Surf Nation community?
Being part of the Surf Nation community provides Pima County Surf with an unmatched level of support, shared resources, and access to elite level experiences that directly benefit our players, families, and coaches. Through Surf Nation, our athletes have opportunities to participate in high level events, ID clinics, and college showcases that would otherwise be out of reach in a smaller market like Southern Arizona.
Equally important is the sense of collaboration and shared purpose. Surf Nation connects us with like minded clubs and leaders across the country, providing best practices, mentorship, and a true developmental pathway for players at every level. It’s more than just a brand; it’s a supportive and inspiring network that helps us raise the bar for youth soccer in our community.
As the 2024/2025 season wraps up, what are some of the highlights from the past season for your club?
This year, Pima County Surf made incredible strides both on and off the pitch. While we are proud of our competitive success including teams earning top placements in league and tournament play, what stands out most is the deeper impact we’ve made in our community and the broader game.
Our TOPSoccer program continues, creating inclusive opportunities for athletes with disabilities to experience the joy of soccer in a safe and supportive environment. In addition with support from USYS, we were also able to expand access to the game for underserved players by partnering with local schools to host free after school soccer, helping remove financial barriers and build a more diverse and unified soccer community.
As a younger club, another major milestone was our club’s acceptance into the DPL, giving our girls a direct and competitive pathway for long term development and college exposure. And to further support the female game, we proudly announced the addition of our second WPSL women’s team, giving more women in Southern Arizona a place to compete at the highest amateur level.
Looking ahead to the 2025/2026 season, what excites you the most?
Looking ahead to the 25/26 season, we’re most excited about the new competition on the pitch and the continued growth of our club’s footprint and impact in the community. With our acceptance into the DPL and exciting expansion opportunities, our players will face higher level challenges that will push their development and passion for the game even further. As we grow, so does our opportunity to positively impact the game and the lives of young athletes in Southern Arizona both on and off the pitch. There’s nothing better than see in the excitement on our players’ faces as they take the pitch, knowing they’re part of something bigger.
We’re also thrilled to welcome new families into our West Valley branch, another step forward in bringing Surf’s mission and values to more communities across Arizona.
Pima County Surf offers programming for all ages and experience levels—from entry-level grassroots programs to a women's semi professional team and everything in between. How do you ensure that all of these programs stay aligned and continue progressing together?
At Pima County Surf, what keeps all our programs aligned from TOPSoccer and our youngest grassroots players to our competitive teams and women’s semi-professional squad is our shared commitment to player development, community impact, and creating meaningful experiences at every level of the game. While each age group has different needs, the mission is still the same: to provide the best of the best experiences and opportunities for all players.
We stay connected through strong relationships across teams, mentorships, and a shared club culture. Our athletes often give back by volunteering with our Programs like TOPSoccer supporting our belief that the game should be accessible and impactful for everyone.
It’s this sense of connection and purpose beyond just results on the pitch that allows all parts of Pima Surf to move forward together, united in the goal of building better players and better people.
