San Diego, CA., April 12, 2024— Surf Nation is proud to announce the launch of our newest partner club, Omaha  Surf. In the world of youth sports, the Surf brand is renowned for professionalism, elite event management, high-quality coaching, and, most importantly, a deep commitment to player development. Surf’s mission is to create experiences and opportunities for players, and we’re excited to announce our next step toward achieving this goal in Nebraska.

Effective immediately, Papillon Soccer Club, which has been elevating the game in the community since 1974, will transition to the newly formed Omaha Surf. Omaha Surf is launching in partnership with Surf Nation, which has a proven track record of developing players into International Youth Training Centers, Professional Academies, and into the Collegiate Ranks. Led by the most experienced Coaches, Staff, and Administrators in the community, Omaha Surf will continue to provide a high-quality player development experience and, through the transition to Surf, will now have access to further opportunities for its players and coaching staff on a regional and national level.

“We are building a strong network of clubs in the Midwest, as well as leaders, coaches, players, and families, that are fully aligned with the Surf mission. Omaha Surf is in a key geographical location that will only add to this growing network, and we are excited to welcome them into the Surf Nation Family,” says Andy Surf Nation Director. “The Club has a proper development pathway from Recreational through the competitive; by adding the Surf resources, brand equity, and player pathways, we can provide further opportunities to expand their reach beyond the local community. There is an opportunity to elevate the competitive side, and we are excited to see what we can achieve.”

“We are ecstatic about the ability to offer this prestige pathway to Papillion Soccer Club and our community; this will encourage, energize, and advance our players’ confidence, ability, and networking opportunity. Learning, meeting, and mingling with youth nationwide at regional and national events,” said Dan Leighty, Omaha Surf.

As part of the Surf Nation network, Omaha Surf players and families will have access to additional support on and off the field to ensure we continue to be the number one soccer destination. The top players from Omaha Surf will have direct access to Surf Select, an unprecedented identification program built through Surf Nation for players U9 through U19 at the Regional and National levels. The Surf Select program draws from the Surf Network, a player pool that expands from Puerto Rico and Rhode Island to Hawaii and Canada to compete in some of the best domestic and international events in world football.
