San Diego, CA., February 20, 2025— Surf Nation is proud to announce the launch of our newest partner club, Philadelphia Surf. In the world of youth sports, the Surf brand is renowned for professionalism, elite event management, high-quality coaching, and, most importantly, a deep commitment to player development. Surf's mission is to create experiences and opportunities for players, and we're excited to announce our partnership in the City of Philadelphia and surrounding communities.
In preparation for the 2025/26 season, Philadelphia Soccer Club will transition and rebrand to Philadelphia Surf, launching in partnership with Surf Nation, which has a proven track record of developing players into international youth training centers, professional academies, and collegiate ranks. Led by experienced coaches, staff, and administrators with a deep history in the community, Philadelphia Surf will continue to provide a high-quality player development experience and, through the transition to Surf, will now have access to further opportunities for its players, families, and coaching staff on a regional and national level.

"The club was founded in 1984 by a group of dads trying to give the community a competitive soccer club and what they thought was best for the kids at that time. Over the years, as many things in youth soccer have changed, the club has attempted to keep its grassroots identity. We are excited to partner with Surf Nation and the Surf network to take the club to the next level in today's youth soccer world while keeping the club's legacy and mission to provide affordable but competitive soccer at the highest levels alive. As part of the Surf Nation network, Philadelphia Surf players and families will have access to additional support on and off the field to ensure we strive to be the premium soccer destination in the City and surrounding communities. Players from Philadelphia Surf will have direct access to Surf Select, an unprecedented identification program built through Surf Nation for players U9 through U17 at the Regional and National level. The Surf Select program draws from the Surf Network, a player pool that expands from Puerto Rico and Rhode Island to Hawaii and Canada to compete in some of the best domestic and international events in world football.
