San Diego, CA., March 15, 2024— Surf Cup Sports (San Diego, CA) is proud to announce the launch of our newest partner club, Western Iowa Surf. Based in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the Academy and Competitive levels of Council Bluffs Soccer Club will transition into Western Iowa Surf. Western Iowa Surf will join the Surf brand as part of our continued expansion in the Midwest as our first partner in Iowa, creating improved experiences and opportunities aligned with the Surf mission.
Launching in partnership with Surf Nation, Western Iowa Surf will join a community that has a proven track record of developing and sending players into international youth training centers, professional academies, and onto the collegiate ranks. Led by the most experienced Coaches, Staff, and Administrators in Pottawattamie County, Western Iowa Surf will continue to provide a high-quality experience and will now have access to further opportunities for its players and coaching staff within the Surf Nation Community.

We are delighted to expand the Surf community to Iowa and look forward to expanding our player pathway into an area with such a deep talent of players and coaches.”
Western Iowa Surf will continue to provide the best player development experience, pathway, and opportunities in the community. As a member of the Surf Nation network, Western Iowa Surf players and families will receive additional support on and off the field to ensure we continue to be the premium soccer destination in Council Bluffs and surrounding areas.

Through Surf Nation and along with Midwest Select partner clubs in Kansas and Missouri, Western Iowa Surf will be able to offer our players the opportunities to play at the highest regional and national levels that they desire while maintaining our mission to make soccer available to all players, regardless of economic station,” added Shane Hoss, DOC Western Iowa Surf.
The top players in Western Iowa Surf will have direct access to Surf Select, a National identification program built through Surf Nation. This program allows selected players to compete in the best international and domestic events, selecting from a player pool that expands from Rhode Island to Hawaii.
