Surf Cup Sports (San Diego, CA) is proud to announce the launch of our newest partner club, Valencia Surf. Based in Valencia, Spain, the club will field a Men’s Senior team that will start from Segona Regional Division, in the Valencian Community.
Valencia Surf will be launching with the support of the San Diego Surf Soccer Club, which has a proven track record of developing players and seeing them move through the player pathway into the US National Team Program as well as into the professional and collegiate ranks. Led by a talented coaching staff, Valencia Surf will provide a high-quality destination for Surf Alumni to experience Spanish Men’s Soccer.
“We are committed to creating a global brand focused on the development of players, coaches, and communities,” says Brian Enge, Surf CEO. “We are excited to partner with Valencia Surf to begin to build our model outside of the US.”
Valencia Surf will share the same best player development experience, pathway, and values, as their counterparts stateside. Being part of the Surf Nation network, Valencia Surf coaches will be provided additional support both on and off the field to ensure high standards across the board.
“We are delighted to bring the Surf brand and expanded player opportunities to the Valencian Community,” says Jordi Gomez, Valencia Surf President. “We want to create a strong Men’s Team here in Spain with a mix of American and European players. The objective is to make it a destination for Surf alumni from all around the country and give them the opportunity to experience a different culture and soccer.”
